Welcome to Reef Life Aquatic Centre. Reef Life was officially opened in January 2007 by Phil Hunt of Practical Fishkeeping magazine. Open seven days a week with late opening hours Reef Life caters for all aspects of the tropical hobby, wether you keep freshwater tropical or tropical marine you will be in amazed at what's available, often you will spot new fish and corals never previously seen in the trade before.

Our Fish Only marine system . Totalling 7500 litres the largest in the south west utilisng state of the art filtration, enabling us to keep the largest range of fish available to the marine enthusiast. From the smallest trimma goby to the largest Angel we have it all!

The 4 meter hard coral and 2 meter soft coral aquarium. Both systems are run by an aquatronica computer unit with all levels constantly monitored. Ozone is utilised and controlled by the computer via the MV probe. Lighting is via dedicated giesemann metal halides set with a light meter to ensure optimum light distribution. Reef Life has 3 shipments of corals a week, ranging from sps and lps to soft corals and invertabrates. No one in Cornwall stocks the amount and quality they have to offer. Currently housing 200+ sps, 200+ lps, and 300+ soft corals.

Reef Life also boats a state of the art tropical freshwater section, totalling 7500 litres. Currently stocking mainly bread and butter species in perfect health. All stock are quarantined for a one week minimum prior to going out on sale. Reef Life are currently extending the shop and are building a dedicated 'room' for Discus, oddballs, catfish and L number plecs.

Our filter room, housing the custom AquaMedic Turboflotor skimmer. The marine fish system utilises the berlin method of filtration with approx 300kgs of live rock in the sump, plus fluidisers de-gas towers, trickle tower and large skimmer with ozone. This keeps the water at perfect levels. No copper is used here!
